What is the procedure?

Iedere sollicitant naar een baan in Canada moet in staat zijn om de Engelse taal te lezen,te spreken en te schrijven.

Where do I start?
Als u aan bovenstaande voorwaarden kunt voldoen zullen wij u verzoeken om u CV en persoonlijke gegevens naar ons op te sturen, deze zullen naar diverse Canadese werkgevers worden gestuurd voor beoordeling. Hierna zult u worden gevraagd om 1 week naar Canada te reizen voor gesprekken met de diverse in u geinteresserde bedrijven.
Andy deWeerd zal u in Canada begeleiden bij uw interviews.
Zeer waarschijnlijk kright u van meerde bedrijven een schriftelijk werkaanbod, u kunt nu zelf een keuze maken welk bedrif het beste bij u past en waar u mee in zee wilt gaan.
Het aanbod van bedrijven is divers, er zijn een anntal middel grote, grote en een aantal kleinere bedrijven welke aan het programme deelnemen. Ook kunt u een keuze maken uit long-short haul of local werk.
Nadat u met een bedrif tot overeenstemming bent gekomen zal er een employment contract worden opgesteld.
Dit contract zal samen met uw CV en andere gegevens zoals uw verklaring van goed gedrag etc naar een immigration lawyer worden gestuurd welke de aanvraag bij de Canadese authoriteiten zal indienen.
Indien de aanvraag zal worden goedgekeurd zal u na ongeveer 15 weken een tijdelijk werkvisum worden verleend.

What is the Process?

First, by email and even meeting with you at your home, you discuss with Bert Bouwman, the Nederlandse Contact, what is your situation. And most of this information is provided to you free of charge.

What is your possibility for Immigration?
What are the different Immigration processes?
What worklife do you like to have? What are the wages? What is the cost of living?
Where in Canada do you like to live?
What is the total cost for the process?
What documentation is needed?
What happens when I arrive? Driver license? Health Care? Housing?
Have you begun the process and just need to secure a job?
You have family here and you just need to secure a job?

We work to answer your questions and ensure you have all the facts so you are comfortable about this decision.
We listen to you about your situation and give you as much information as you like to make the decision to proceed.

Second - securing a job There are 2 ways to do this step and you can choose to do this step on your own or with our help.
The First method, you simply contact the transport companies by email and arrange meetings for interviews.
Or if you wish we can contact transport companies for you.
For this step, if you do it on your own or with our help, you will need to come to Canada on a trip for meetings and interviews with about different 10 transport companies.
Also when you are here, you can meet with Andy deWeerd in Brampton, Ontario, the Canadian Contact, and discuss the entire process and the worklife of the transport companies you are meeting.
If you wish, we can help you select transport companies and arrange all the meetings.
From these meetings you will have at least 10 job offers, yes this seems unbelieveable but it is true.
You than can choose which transport company you like best and you have the job. This sounds unbelieveable but it is true and we can put you in contact with people who have experienced this and are living and working here now.
During this trip, we will also find lodging in the town you like to live so you can experience the life.

The Second method, there are some Canadian Transport Companies which are now coming to the Netherlands and interviewing truck drivers. We can tell you when they are coming and help you setup an interview meeting.
This method is an example of the "low cost do-it-yourself" process.

Third, we can connect you with an experienced Canadian Immigration firm which will prepare your papers. For most people, this will take approximately one - three months to complete. For families this can take a little longer. We work with you during this process to be sure all documents and processes are prepared for the next step - your departure.

Fourth, when your Immigration papers are in hand, we can work with you to ensure all arrangements are properly made for your arrival. We can meet you at the airport and also stay with you on your first days here and help you settle in your new job and your new home.

What are the costs?

The least expensive method is for you to contact a Canadian Transport Company who comes to Europe to hire truck drivers. If they will decide to hire you, than they will also prepare all the immigration papers and pay all the costs for you.
You may contact Bert Bouwman for information about the Transport Companies which are coming to the Netherlands for interviews, or, you can go to the List of Transport Companies and contact them directly.
We will gladly help you with this method. This method is good for many people but for others, who like to have more involvement in the decision for starting this new life, it does not give you the freedom to research all the options.

There is also a different method for people who desire to make more research and be more involved in choosing a worklife offered by many different transport companies.
This method involves you coming to Canada for a vacation and with our help you will visit carefully selected transport companies and obtain job offers.
The cost is not very expensive and it gives you more freedom to choose who you will work for and where you will live.
The cost is different for every situation and when we meet and talk with you, the cost for your situation can be better determined. If you need a small amount of help than it will be a small cost or we can help you more for a little more cost - the choice is yours.
First, the low cost do-it-yourself method. It is possible to complete the entire process for almost with no cost.
This may be a method for you to consider if you are single and adventurous.
For this, as I said above, you will need to find a Canadian Transport Company sponsor you or give you a job offer. They usually cover all the costs and prepare all the Immigration papers. If you like to use this method, we can provide you with some information to get you started.
Second, you can use our service as much as you like. Here is an example of the approximate estimate costs in euros. Because each situation is different, this example can not be all inclusive and is intended only as a reference for planning purposes.

Step 1	Assessment and discussions covering the immigration process, the costs of the various processes, the type of jobs, wages, etc. to give you information and help you decide if you want to immigrate. If you wish to proceed, we meet with you and further discuss all the immgration details, review your CV and contact references, present you with a list of 10 transport companies that are interested to interview you. This will include all the specific details about the worklife, wages, and other details about these companies.	Free 250-500
Step 2	If you wish to proceed, we recommend you travel to Canada and meet with the 10 transport companies for interviews. From this trip, you will obtain job offers. While you are in Canada, if you wish you can meet with the Canadian contact, Andy deWeerd, on arrival to discuss the scheduled interviews and more details about each transport company.
